I was having a conversation with a close personal friend about rejection and it got me to thinking. We’ve all felt it a missed promotion at work, not selected for what may seem like your dream job, or even failed relationships. Trust me I have been there. You feel like, “God why not me, am I not good enough?” There have been a few times I was overlooked at work. I will admit in that moment it’s easy to sulk and feel like you’ll never get ahead. But what we may not realize is that maybe it’s just not your time! God could be setting you up for something greater. As children of God we have to have faith and trust that every rejection is not a personal attack on you. It is also helpful to have people around you that you can turn to when you have these feelings of disappointment.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” -Jeremiah 29:11
